hi Imran,

You do not need to run upgrade tool on the remote machines. You only
execute upgrade tool on the machine with DAS. On the remote machine, you
would install 9.1.1, wait for upgrade tool to finish on machine with DAS
running, start DAS on machine1, then start node agent on machine1, start
node agent on remote machine with --syncinstances=true

install 9.1_02 on machine1, machine2
setup cluster, ensure that when you create nodeagent on machine1 to use
--host option specifying value of machine1
Make BACKUP of 9.1_02 installation on machine1, machine12
install 9.1.1 on top of 9.1_02 on machine1, machine2
run upgrade tool on machine1
start DAS, start nodeagent on machine1
start nodeagent on machine2 with --syncinstances=true

hope this helps.

The upgrade tool upgraded my server running the DAS with the correct domain configs and node-agent. However, running the upgrade tool against the remote machines didn't create my remote node-agents. So I went ahead and copied over the node-agents folder from the previous installation and testing seem to be OK. But I'm not convinced that's the correct way as we bring forward old libraries from the old installation as well. Plus everytime I start the remote agents, I get the following;
