Why should the OP have to use a single host name mapped to both IPs? It's
quite common for a system with multiple interfaces and IPs to have a unique
name for each one. Not to mention there's no requirement in the EE spec for
DNS (or any resolver) to be available in the first place.

To the OP, what do you mean by choose the output? If you issue a request to
IP #1, the response will go to IP #1. The same is true for the case of
issuing a request to IP #2, the response will go back out IP#2. Do you need
to send a response out an different interface then the one it came in on?
