Thanks for the input.

Weblogic/WebSphere app servers lets you deploy a new version of app without affecting existing sessions which are still serviced by the older version and the new sessions are serviced by the newer version of app. When the older sessions are serviced, the older version of the app is retired.

I am investigating whether this behavior is implemented in Glassfish/SpringSource dm server/Apache ServiceMix.
