Why don't you just use a tool like keytool?
Although it is a command line tool, it is pretty straight-forward. Here is some information that covers the process...

Is it possible to generate a certificate request (CSR) through the admin console? I've seen it done on old SunONE appservers but I cannot see how to do it on glassfish or Sun Java System app server 8.1.
