sorry for answering so late.
this was just an example maybe a bad one generelly we are dealing with all kinds of connections here like SRFC acces to an SAP system and so on...
so almost all things need to be throtteled in my case and you are right in JMS it would be easier to throttle the producer/consumer with JMS mechanisms.
any idea to throttle SAP calling components that are exposed as webservice?
