1) could you post the exceptions from server.log related to NoClassDefFound errors ?
2) what is the purpose of config/property files ?
You can have the configuration as part of any of the resource-adapter-artifact (ResourceAdapter, ManagedConnectionFactory) etc., and configure them via
ra.xml, resource-adapter-config, connector-connection-pool
