I just downloaded "v3 Prelude" (
http://download.java.net/glassfish/v3-prelude/release/glassfish-v3-prelude-windows.exe , 30.062.603 bytes) and installed it on my Windows XP box, all with default settings. (The installation tool claims that the "Update Tool Bootstrap" was not configured, although the installation log shows no errors.)
As I start up the domain, the server log contains an error
[b]org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Bundle symbolic name and version are not unique

(full stack trace below), followed by many similar errors. Eventually, it is impossible to access the adminstration console, which renders the installation useless.
This problem seems similar to the posting "V3 and getting at the Felix" in this same forum:

I have the suspicion that anyone who installs that GlassFish version on Windows will run into the same problem? A bit discouraging.
