What is in the log file(s)? It looks like the machine is also having a
network issue, you could run it
with -console option to see if there are visible errors during
installation, but do cleanup before you
re-run the installation by doing

a). Remove /var/sadm/install/productregistry(if you are runing as root)
OR $HOME/productregistry
(if you are running as non-root).

b). Make sure that you install into an empty directory.

> and installer hangs at 44% stage ??? I did notice this ONLY on this specific machine (SUNW,Sun-Fire-T1000) whereas on others (SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R with Solaris 9 9/05 HW s9s_u9wos_06b SPARC) it runs well ... see details about version of Glassfish and machine below:
