Deploy-007 doesn't seem to have a descriptor-based solution, other than the context.xml that Amy discusses, and that appears to be for webapps only.
IMO a descriptor/file solution that can be packed in an EAR would be useful (well, let's be honest, it's what [b]I[/b] need :- ), akin to OpenEJB's META-INF/env-entries.properties file (if I understand [b]that[/b] correctly).
