Search the developer's guide. You can't run anything on DAS in a cluster (it's not the role of DAS, and it probably doesn't start anything deployed on it), but any timer is always running only on a single instance in a cluster, so you shouldn't get duplicate timeouts.
__ejb_container_timer_app loading is starting the timer service.
