Hi Kishore
GlassFish is certainly built for both development and production
deployments. The developer profile is useful during single instance dev
and trials ( and can in fact be used in single instance production
deployments as well). The cluster profile allows you to create clusters
and stand alone remote instances in a multi machine domain setup and is
well suited for medium to large scale deployments. You will of course
have to tune the appserver in order to get best results for your
specific deployment environment.
As many in the user community would attest, you will find GlassFish to
be a very competitive appserver. We are here to help if you run into any
problems. So please do not hesitate to ask for help.
Do check out the stories blog
http://blogs.sun.com/stories for a growing
list of success stories of GlassFish in production.
Also, Sun offers commercial support for GlassFish through the Sun
branded version which is identical to GlassFish codebase.
If need be, we will be happy to discuss and present GlassFish to your
organization through a meeting.

And I have gone thru Glassfish info and got really excited on using it, which has full support for java ee at the development stage thru our discussion forums. But what backs me up in confirming glassfish to my lead is that
