You are right, I am using update 7, I had not noticed the update. Maybe
I should try OpenJDK, that says it is at 1.6.0_0-b11, I wonder how that
relates to the Sun update numbers?

If OpenJDK does not work, I will revert to update 6 for the time being and
watch the bug for a fix or workaround.
