Iam not sure what you mean by the mdb queue size

MDB pool size is the number of mdbs that will be pooled by glassfish, an mdb is retrieved from the pool when a message is available in the destination to be processed , so the pool size dictates the number of messages that can be processed parallely (if enough worker threads are available). Iam referring to the bean-pool configuration in the deployment descriptor.
