I believe you are hitting https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5194
This has been fixed in GF 2.1. You can get this from https://glassfish.dev.java.net/public/alldownloads.html#GlassFish_v2_UR_branch.
Any build after build 39 (2008/07/01) should have the fix.
