How can this be blown off and allowed to be acceptable? If you can define the resource in a descriptor and you can execute the ddl-generation then what gives? The conclusion that you can only execute ddl generation against pre-configured resources defeats the notion of portability.... If I understand your statement, it appears actions are out of step during deployment by the GF server...this has to be a bug.
