Hi guys,

I appreciate all these wonderful discussions. They are very very helpful for me, a Java persistence beginner.

I should've provided the usage scenario in the first place.

Data: millions
Tables: tens
Operations: lots of query (with Joins) + potential mass update/insert

After listening to all these advices, I guess I will probably go with JPA for this project.
If the performance is not good as expected (a web page refresh time), then I will try to use native queries. Hope this will work.
