You did not say what set and get commands you tried that were not working as you expected, but I expect you were using
get demo-iteration4-config.system-properties.test
which will return the default value as defined in the configuration, rather than
get rabat-cluster-demo-instanceA.system-properties.test
which will return the value for instanceA.
Please try the second command and report what you find.
