I've removed the NOT MEMBER OF clause in the query and instead implemented the filtering in the java classes that invoke this finder method. This is the case for most of the weblogic supported queries. As I was running out of time, I'd to take this approach. It took me a day to remove the weblogic supported queries and implement the filtering in java.
