I am currently using a Swing EJB client over a VPN at times requests can take 3 - 5 minutes to process. As where request from the same client on the local network (not using the VPN) will take 3 seconds. What is the best path to improve performance of my application on a VPN WAN?
1. Get bigger pipes?
2. Seek some type of compression from Glassfish (Do not know if this is possible)
3. Don't use CORBA/EJB over VPN and try to use some other type of data transfer protcool
to my client?
Any advice would help
