Hi Markus,
I agree with you about the fact that SDK is bigger in scope than GlassFish app server. That said GF is a community beyond the appserver and comprises most of what is contained in the SDK. Also since the related developers are in the GlassFish community, it would be beneficial to file issues here in the GF issue tracker. If it applies to anything outside the appserver such as portal or access manager, we can reassign those to appropriate projects or people.

Thanks
Shreedhar

I have an organizational question.

Sun provides the Java EE 5 SDK, which contains the GlassFish server. The SDK is a large product, with parts beyond GlassFish. Also, the SDK is a proprietary product, while GlassFish is an open source project. If I find bugs in GlassFish, I can report them here. But, where to report bugs regarding the other SDK parts? I am asking because on the Sun Bug Database I cannot select Java EE 5 SDK but only J2EE 1.4 SDK. Are they just not interested in those bugs, or is there a special bug tracker besides the J2EE 1.4 SDK? Or do I have to report Java EE 5 SDK bugs as J2EE 1.4 SDK bugs?

I know this is the wrong forum to ask this question, but I know that many Sun employees are reading this message and maybe know the answer.

Thanks

Markus
