In my sun-ejb-jar.xml I have the following cmp-resource:

<jndi-name>jdbc/felixDS</jndi-name>
<create-tables-at-deploy>false</create-tables-at-deploy>
<drop-tables-at-undeploy>false</drop-tables-at-undeploy>
</cmp-resource>
I have a JDBC resource and connection pool, both named jdbc/felixDS, and when I ping the connection pool it does say "Ping Succeeded". jr158900 - I'm not sure what else needs to be enabled for the server and DAS instance for this to get used.
Version = Sun Java System Application Server 9.1_01 (build b09d-fcs)
I generated and attached the server.log, since changing the log levels a somewhat different message is displayed.
