OutOfMemoryError

Glassfish 2.1. Java JDK 1.6.0_02. Two entities with bidirectional one-to-one relationship with each other. When creating and persisting one of the entities, and inserting the reference to the other entity, and persisting the entity, all is OK (database entry created). But when entity is RMI returned, Java heap space is exhausted. If insert of related entity is suppressed, RMI return does not trigger Java heap space exhaustion. Heap space min is set to 128M and max to 512M.

What might be causing the heap space problem? Thanks.
