A coworker is looking into using EJBs in a clustered oc4j environment
and ran across this in the Oracle docs:
In order to fully leverage EJB clustering you will need to use remote
EJBs. Remote EJBs have some performance implications over local EJBs.
If you use local EJBs and save a reference to them in a servlet (or
JSP) session, when the session is replicated, the saved reference
becomes invalid. Therefore, use EJB clustering only when you need the
listed features.
Is that a generally true statement? Does that apply also to
GlassFish? We're all pretty new to clustered environments... :)
