So far, using GF on a solaris 9 box, using JDK 1.5.0_12, BASIC auth doesn't seem to work. However, using GF on a Windows XP box, using JDK 1.5.0_15, BASIC auth _does_ work.

I'm using exactly the same war file to test both.

Which leads me to check the Java installation... tests pending
