UnrecoverableKeyException: Password must not be null

When executing the following code withing Glassfish:

SSLSocketFactory factory = (SSLSocketFactory) SSLSocketFactory.getDefault();
SSLSocket socket = (SSLSocket) factory.createSocket(host, port);

The following exception is thrown:
