Hi Gordon,

First thanks for your reply I am in urgent need of a solution to this problem. The application is packaged within one .jar file (i.e. all source code, icons etc etc). The manifest file within this jar file is setup to point to external resources (i.e. JDBC driver). These third party external resources are kept within a folder. The jar file and lib folder (containing JDBC etc) are all placed into a directory on the server that all users can access.

To run the application, a shortcut to this location on the server is made on all user PC's. Double clicking this shortcut causes the .jar file to execute with the JRE. Therefore all application files are deployed on the server and a shortcut is made to this location for all users of the software.

Thanks

Alan
