BTW, there should not be a reason that standard DB2 type 4 driver would not work in most cases (last i knew it did not support XA).
So there should not be a reason that you cannot use it. If you are getting an error configuring it, let me know. Make sure you set the driverType=4 and i assume you were using com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
