Has there been any attempt to use GlassFish in a grid computing based deployment? A scenario where you have multiple points on the grid where each instance can provide its own specific set of data and services from which all others may request and subscribe to?
The data and services may or may not be shared across the instances in the grid so this does not fall into a cluster scenario.
I remember looking at JINI a longtime ago it seems something like this might be required?
