Using jbi-enabled=true flag in sun-ejb-jar.xml to enable the trafic via Java EE Service Engine is a old & deprecated way of doing.
The same should be possible by using the jbi.xml as I mentioned in my previous reply. It should work unless your jbi.xml is missing something.
