OK, this is an error stemming from Java DB (Derby). But in general, I agree that failing to create
domain is bad enough, just because the Embedded Driver could not create the ejb-timer database.
I am the developer who coded this this way and I think it is coming in the way of users (Note that
care was exercised to look into compatibility issues).
So, please file a high priority bug and I will get that fixed. The way it will be fixed is to warn the
user (but not fail domain creation) that the EJB-timer database creation did not succeed.
[b] I am assuming that ALL these errors are because timer database creation failure. Any other
errors should be dealt with carefully.[/b]
Another thing I should mention that this has been this way for 18 or more months. Something
else has changed that makes this result in hard failures. I will investigate that as well, but I
have installed NB6 Beta 1,2 on Mac without problems and am not sure what results in this
error.
