OK.
Since there are a large number of people who work with various version of NetBeans and Glassfish on a daily basis, this is probably a configuration issue that we can resolve. I will need to ask a fairly long list of questions and will need to get fairly detailed responses to them. please be patient.
Let's work on diagnosing ONE NB install with ONE server install at time....
I would recommend getting NetBeans 5.5.1 and GF V2 RC4 working together.
Do you have both of those software packages installed?
Where are they installed on your system?
Does GlassFish start from the command-line BEFORE you try to register the domain with NetBeans?
What ports does the domain use?
Does the admin console work once the server is started?
Starting with a clean NetBeans userdir is probably a good idea, too.
What values do you enter in the registration dialog? One of the most important values is the Platform Location value, which you need to enter on the second page of the dialog/wizard.
These questions should be enough to get started.
