Ryan, you're a genius. Following your suggestion, i used the "asadmin" command to explicitly undeploy the "hello" application, and the issue was resolved. I thought that applications that were automatically deployed by dropping them into the "autodeploy" directory, would be automatically undeployed by removing them from this directory. Evidently, i was wrong. Thanks.
