There have been some reports of problems like this (here's one thread: http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=221016&#221016) which have cleared up with later builds of GlassFish. It looks like it's due to some changes in the ORB. The ORB is built separately from GlassFish and then integrated in binary form and there have been ORB integrations since the build you are using.

Would you be able to try using a more recent build to see if that solves the problem?
