I am attempting the same thing.
When you set max read to 1 and max write to 1 you still get 2 separate connections... one for read and one for write
I'm also trying to solve the problem of having the database connection idle timeout
being less than the connection pool connection lifetime.
Is there a way to set the connection pool connection lifetime and is there a way to tell the connection pool to test idle connections for staleness?
