Hi,

I'm afraid TopLink-Essentials doesn't support this kind of id definition. Even though your code looks correct for OpenJPA, non-standard features would limit you to this particular persistence provider. This might be a good feature to be added in the next version of JPA.. I'll post the email alias for such proposals here.
