Nope, that's not it. I added those two variables to build.properties, did maven checkout and maven build-all and it still got the exact same error.
BTW, the instructions seemed to indicate that the 2 goassfish variables were environment variables like %HOMEPATH%. I would suggest that the documentation be updated to make it clear that these variables are to be entered in the build.properties file.
