As jagadish pointed out the user name or password provided by you is incorrect. Please run asadmin add-resources --help to get complete list of attributes.
In general the command will be
asadmin add-resources --user <admin-user> --password <admin-password> --port <port-number> --host <host-name> <sun-resources-xml>
