Sorry just as a matter of interest.
This error does not occur because Collection is an interface. With
further research and testing I discovered that if I have a
Collection<MyObject> (where MyObject is an interface) I need to add the
Annotation @XmlElement(type=MyObjectImpl.class). I was under the
impression that the fact that MyObject was mapped to an
XmlJavaTypeAdapter would be sufficient but it wasn't.
