RE: Fwd: some errors

Hi,

I didn't check if there was any GF server process before uninstallation when
I first uninstalled it. Anyway, I followed what Rahul has suggested:
uninstall GF -> restart the computer -> remove the folder -> reinstall GF
again. And now, I have no error in the Update Tool UI :)

You should *not* need to restart your PC after GF uninstallation and we
should certainly not have to advertise or recommend that. Did you
shutdown your GF server process before uninstallation? If you did, it is
possible that the leftover process preventing full installation
directory cleanup is updatetool notifier. Uninstaller will currently
"unregister" notifier but it is possible that this command does not stop
already running notifier process - I'll check on that...

So, instead of complete restart, in the worst case it should be enough
to log off and back on into the user account and delete any leftovers in
the installation directory.

Thanks,

Snjezana
