Hi,
The installer 41% hang problem was filed as issue 7194 since b37 and it
is not yet resolved.

[installation] GFv3: Unable to install. The installer hangs at 41%
This problem exist for all installer bundles created after b37. I was
told that the installer hangs because there is problem with the load
balancer (and/or in combination hardware problem) of the Update Center
(updatetool) server. Thus, the *workaround* is use the *.zip bundle or
if you want to use the installer bundle, then at the installer's Update
Configuration screen, unselect the "Install Update Tool" option and
continue with the installation. Note: the installer will pause at
around 69% but will continue fine after a couple minutes.
In addition, the updatetool is currently not installable. Please see
issue 7232.
