Thanks Jose for testing b27. I was told there is a known issue in
Window Vista with UAC turned on (this "User Account Control" is on by
default), if glassfish is installed in Program Files,
it will be unable to write log files or use update center to update the
files. Here is the issue [Issue 5090]

issue, I found an updatetool bug is filed with the comment below. You can
add your id in the interest when bugs got fixed, you will be notified.

associated with the C:\Program Files directory. "
