I have a laptop. at my home I don't have a proxy, but at my job yes. If I
don't setup the proxy in updatetool, to be able to use it at home, the
application won't be usable at my office.

When I launch updatetool at work, I'm not able to access the Properties
icons to
activate the proxy. The application is stuck there.

I would expect the application to response to the user and try to get the
applications update list in another thread.
