I can see how some people might want this to be configurable. Please feel
free to enter an enhancement request.
FYI: The upcoming versions of GlassFish will use EclipseLink as the
persistence provider.

It is more likely enhancements will be resolved in the open EclipseLink
development stream. Although we still consider Enhancement requests from the
GlassFish bug system, I suggest considering entering the enhancement in the
EclipseLink bug system. You can find the bugs link on the left side of this
