Upon trying to run an application using JPA through Web Start nothing
happens, however when I just double click on the JAR to run the application
it runs normally.

How would one obtain the logs for an application through Web Start in order
to find what is going on? Has anyone been successful in running a JPA
application through Web Start?

As I recall I saw a blog in which the author claimed to have a working JPA
application through Web Start:
