Are you logged in to the Oracle VPN?
Have you noticed that asadmin sits there blankly for 30 seconds or so
for every single command before it does anything?
It is waiting inside the JDK for a network timeout trying to get its
hostname via DNS.
Am I the only one seeing this on a Windows XP system with Oracle VPN?
As soon as I logoff of VPN -- asadmin is immediately back to normal.
If you are seeing this too - let me know. Even better if you know what
I have misconfigured to cause this, please let me know.
