Wow Kumar, you are right, it *is* there! Now that you've mentioned it I can hardly believe I missed this.

Anissa, you are right, this should be in the Admin Console, because people will not discover this on their own (as I am the sorry proof of), so per your suggestion, I created an enhancement request for it in the issue tracker:

https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=11869

Andreas, you are right that a view could be created to work around the issue (I also mentioned this as a possible solution), but having a dedicated property for it is so much better!

Thanks guys for your quick responses! As ever! I am *sooo* happy to know I can keep my datamodel just the way I like it and don't have to bend it to fit the JDBCRealm. :)

HTH,

-Stijn

    We also have a parameter :

    PARAM_GROUP_TABLE_USER_NAME_COLUMN = "group-table-user-name-column";

    But i guess we maynot have it in V2.X. We have it in V3.

  Admin Console really need your help for usability. If this is a common parameter for JDBCRealm, please inform the GUI team about the change so this can be presented to user like an attribute, instead of having them memorizing the long property name.
  Please file an issue againist admingui if thats the case.

  thanks
  Anissa.
