J1 Preview branch is now open:

The instruction to build J1 Preview branch is the same as v3 trunk.

The continuous job will publish the 3.0-Preview-SNAPSHOT artifacts to
Maven respository at:
http://download.java.net/maven/glassfish/

If you have committed bug fixes in v3 trunk, you will also need to
commit them in 3.0-Preview branch.
There will be weekly 3.0-Preview promotion.
v3 trunk promotion will be on hold for now since we are focusing on J1
Preview release.
