I know you were suggesting a change in settings.xml and that this file
might well be different for different engineers.

I was just trying to say that I would hope that the GF files could be
written - and checked into the repository this way - so that it could
run off-line correctly if that's what we want. I guess that the
settings.xml content might override that anyway so perhaps there's no
way to accomplish this.
