Jim, i couldn't find default variable for maven version.. so tried
following ant snippet from maven.xml.
> <goal name="init">
> <ant:exec executable="maven" outputProperty="maven.version">
> <arg line="-v"/>
> </ant:exec>
> <ant:condition property="maven.version.acceptable">
> <or>
> <contains string="${maven.version}" substring="1.0.2"/>
> </or>
> </ant:condition>
> <ant:fail message="Glassfish requires Maven 1.0.2, you have
${maven.version}" unless="maven.version.acceptable"/>
> </goal>

We can call this init as first commands from all maven goals to see if
any in-compatible version of maven is used.
<attainGoal name="init"/>

pls let me know if you have any better solution to this or how does this
look?
thanks
Dinesh
