Kedar,

Sorry, false alarm. I just found that on the
windows platform that I'd inadvertenly
downloaded the EE not PE version, but
then my automation ran setup.xml. Could that
account for the 'asadmin version --verbose'
command showing PE and the server.log
showing EE.
